Our location’s history dates back to 1920 when it was a transportation garage called Waconia Motor Express. It eventually became a bowling alley as Waconia Lanes in 1946, changing names and ownership multiple times over the next several decades before reopening as Garage Bar & Bowl in 2018.

When owners Dan and Amy Madsen bought the location in December 2017, they decided to create a business offering a unique, modern experience that tips its hat to its industrial roots. Renovations took place throughout 2018 and Garage Bar & Bowl was born. Today, we’re proud to be part of the Waconia community as the area’s premier sports bar, grill, and bowling alley.
